Hastening Westward

The album consists of interpretations/improvisations based on compositions by Robyn Schulkowsky.
“Hastening Westwards” (the seven-part work) was described as “an extension” of her 1991 composition Hastening westwards at sundown to obtain a better view of Venus.
Tracks 2, 5 and 8 were recorded on day 1 of her Oslo sessions, without Nils Petter Molvær (who joined on day 2). Most of the tracks were one-take recordings.
