"It's always been surprising what lurks in locked cupboards, and where those locked cupboards are! The New Jersey Kings were always thought to have recorded only one album "Party To The Bus Stop", a glorious melting pot of fatback drums, and funky Hammond.
That a second hunk of funk was made some two or three years later was completely unknown. Stranger still was their appearance in a disused store-room at Rochester railway station nearly 20 years later, attached to the proposed sleeve artwork. Quick on our feet we purchased an away- day supersaver, liberally greased some palms and emerged with this worthy follow-up.
