At the Heart of It All

This work appeared first on Further Down the Spiral by Nine Inch Nails, a remix album that accompanied the album The Downward Spiral by the same artist. The track is allegedly a remix by Aphex Twin (Richard D. James) of an original track by Nine Inch Nails and writing credits are consistently attributed to Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. In the liner notes a mysterious note states that the track is "Created by Aphex twin". However, because of its distinctive style and since no original material of any NIN song can be discerned in the track, it is widely suspected that this is an original work by Richard D. James and that he therefore should receive all writing credits for this work.
